My husband Paul and I have had Gordons for the last 7 years and show under the Lantivet Affix here in the United Kingdom. Both our boys Wesley and Rohan have their Stud book numbers which means that they have a life time qualification for Crufts. Wesley is our first Show Champion having 5CC's and 5RCC's and Rohan has 1CC and 1RCC. We have been very lucky to have two dogs that have done so well in the show ring.
I know what you mean.. it's the fun of showing that makes you enter your boys. No matter if the get placed or not.
I had a great time at Crufts, spoke with a lot of people andfinally met a lot of people in person, not all though :-)). This morning we headed back home, had a safe journey home and picked up the dogs. Who are now sleeping like a baby and feeling great to be home again.
Unfortunetaly didn't have the time to come up to you and meet in person but have seen you in the ring with your handsome boy Rohan. He looked stunning and so sorry that he didn't get placed.
Hi Niki,
I enjoyed looking through your photographs. Your boys have a very nice life with you and I'm sure down in East Sussex they get lots of great walks (I've got friends down near the Ashdown forest and it's excellent there).
I don't go to that many shows; at least for now until my boy has matured a bit more, but I'll be at the Gundog breeds in Edinburgh next weekend and then the GS Clubshow the day after. Will you be coming up for any of those too? Would love to see your boys in real.
welcome here , nice dogs you have , we own 3 setters . 1 irish two gordons , one from the UK , Kilnrae Whirlwind , love to hear more from you and your lovely dogs
I will see if I can get such a great cigar some where, he really does deserve one.
It's great that the boys get along so well. Here it's just the same. We have three boys who all just love each other and are constantly playing and cuddling up together. We are really happy that they are so great together, because I've also heard other stories about dogs living together.
We also have a cat, he rules the household. We got him as a little kitten from a helporganisation and he just sleeps between the three boys, like he's the king.
I'm sorry to hear about your last cat, loosing a pet is always a heartbreaking thing. I think it's great that you gave a cat a chance which really needed it. Also good to hear that he's ok with the boys now, but like you said, who wouldn't love those big softies.
Hi Niki,
Thank you, we are also very excited about Hades his litter.
You're right, I've seen Rohans pictures on Kims website and what a lovely boy. I really enjoyed seeing the pictures of Rohan and Wesley here on the forum. They seem to have a lot of fun together.
